You Never Know Men of the GSpot Volume 1 Catherine Scott Karen Hrdlicka Margreet Asselbergs Books

I have read and loved the first two books by Catherine Scott, traditional male/female romances with a few shared characters. In Later Than Expected the reader is introduced to Raul, the heroine's assistant. I loved Raul from the first words out of his mouth to his friend, Greta. Raul is a fun, sassy, and flamboyant. You Never Know is his story.
I will admit this is the first male/male story I have read. I thoroughly love the characters of Sam and Raul, as well as the other characters that will appear in future books. Raul's story is both heartbreaking and beautiful. After having his heart broken by his first love, Raul is further decimated by his family. Thrown out as a teenager because he was gay, the boy struggled until he met Greta. She mentored the angry teen into her fun-loving best friend. Vowing to never allow his heart to be broken again, he never planned on a relationship, until he met Sam.
The relationship ups and downs for Sam and Raul are truly no different than any other love story. People make mistakes and try to overcome them in the hopes of an HEA. The characters are realistic, as are the emotions that Ms. Scott portrays. The chemistry and passion of the couple is undeniable, but like most couples; communication is not always their strong suit. The writing is fresh and the plot well pace. This is the first book in the author's new series, The G-Spot Series. I can't wait to read the next book, Bruno is an intriguing character.

I really enjoyed the characters in this story, neither was looking for love but when it hits you need to grab on with both hands. The story started off a little slow but picked up speed as Raul and Sam stole your heart. The ending was a little choppy but oh so worth it. This was my first Catherine Scott book but it won’t be my last.
You Never Know by Catherine Scott showed that if you take a chance and open yourself up, you never know what life and love has planned for you. I meet the character of Raul in the her other books. I have loved and adored him. It was exciting to finally read his and Sam's story. The each have unique qualities that help shape their relationship.
When I heard that Catherine Scott was writing a M/M romance giving us Raul’s story, I was very excited. I met Raul in Later Than Expected and loved his character.

Raul was forced to leave home at 16, and you can see that from a young age there is conviction and strength in his character. Unfortunately, feeling betrayed, he’s given up on love. Sam is someone who’s been hurt. His previous relationship with Liam left him wary, but his friendship with Raul will slowly start to heal his heart and turn into something more.

From the very beginning of the book, I enjoyed Raul and Sam’s chemistry. They both have issues to work through in the relationship, but the devotion they share and the developing romance makes you root for this couple.
Catherine Scott created a fantastic M/M read and characters that keeps you invested in the relationship. I would definitely recommend this read!
You Never Know is the first book in Ms. Scott's new M/M series. In her last novel, Later Than Expected, we met Raul, the sassy, flamboyant assistant with a heart of gold. He immediately piqued my curiosity and I sensed there was much more to him than a pretty face and snappy comebacks.

I was right. Raul is multifaceted young man who experienced rejection and intolerance from his family at a young age. My blood boiled and my heart hurt as the effects continued to haunt him as the story progressed.

Enter Sam, whose family is the opposite of Raul's - caring and supportive. Raul's inner demons nearly railroad Sam's efforts to begin a relationship. Thankfully, Sam isn't easily discouraged. He continues his pursuit and, in the process, stands by his man when an unexpected event forces Raul to confront the people who should have stood by him years before.

This story elicited so many emotions. I clenched my jaw in anger, sighed in frustration, and fist-pumped in joy. A strong supporting cast with hints of intriguing backgrounds of their own has me eagerly anticipating the next installment. And the appearance of beloved characters from Ms. Scott's other novels is a wonderful treat and well-placed bridge between the two series.

4.5/5 Stars
Raul caught my attention in Later Than Expected. I was drawn to his flamboyant personality. So I was very excited for him to get his story. You do not need to read Later Than Expected to read and understand Raul & Sam's story.

Raul has not had an easy life, kicked out at 16 and found his way mostly on his own. Special thanks to Greta for believing in him and taking him home. As a result he is convinced he will never love again, once bitten twice shy. Raul tends to turn to humor and avoidance instead of anything serious if he can help it. The very last thing he was looking for was the love of his life. Heck he hadn't even sorted out who he really was and what his future looked like. But when Sam walked into his life he tried to keep him at arms length. However, we don't get to decide who the heart love, it just kind of takes over and does what it wants.

Sam thought he found love once, but that didn't end the way he hoped. It has been a long haul trying to get back to normal since his break up with Liam. Work and family have been his main focus but it is time to try and get back out there again. One visit to the G-Spot for a drink and his organized life of work and family are spinning out of control. Wanting to spend time with Raul he was willing to take friendship over lover. Not that it stayed that way for long.

For her debut M/M romance Catherine did a great job of bringing out the relationship between
Raul and Sam not only the attraction and sex. Like any relationship it is work and these men have lots of work. Emotions are shared and you feel those emotions while reading. For the new to M/M romance reading this is a great start.

Hoping that maybe this is just the beginning of the connections to come from the G-Spot. I see a series in the making.....fingers crossed.
Glad to see that Raul and Sam got their happily ever after. I thought this was a sweet love story.
